WASHINGTON–The Retail Litigation Center and the National Retail Federation said they have asked the full 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to take up a lawsuit over American Express rules that keep retailers from encouraging customers to use other cards with lower processing fees.

NORCROSS, Ga.–Bluepoint Solutions and Alogent Corp., a combined company created by a merger earlier this year, announced that it will be operating under the name Alogent going forward. The global headquarters for the company will be in Norcross, Ga., with additional offices in Henderson, Nev. and Carlsbad, Calif.

WASHINGTON—The Federal Trade Commission is mailing 3,446 checks totaling more than $830,000 to people who lost money to Centro Natural Corp and Sumore LLC, a telemarketing scheme whose operators were banned from debt collection and telemarketing under a settlement with the FTC.
