OAKLAND, Calif. – Three credit unions are among the organizations that have been selected to participate in the Beneficial State Foundation’s Underwriting for Racial Justice Lender Pilot Program, a two-year endeavor composed of 20 diverse lenders the organization said is “focused on dismantling racially-inequitable underwriting practices in the financial industry and increasing capital access and wealth for people of color.”

SAN ANTONIO—River City FCU is reporting it has received grants totaling more than $20 million that it will use to bolster lending initiatives for individuals in need of financial assistance, while simultaneously seeking to foster local economic growth.
