2 CUNA Councils Now Accepting Submissions For Awards

MADISON, Wis.–Two CUNA Councils are now accepting submissions for their respective awards programs.

The CUNA Technology Council is now accepting submissions for the 2016 Excellence in Technology Awards. The awards, which recognize innovative achievements in the field of credit union technology, will be presented at the CUNA Technology Council Conference, Sept. 28 – Oct. 1, 2016 in Las Vegas.

Excellence in Technology Awards submissions are judged by a panel of CUNA Technology Council members and executive committee members. Entries are judged based on strategy, process, application and results.

Council members are invited to submit their innovative and/or excellent use of technology for awards consideration. The following is a list of strategic activities that are recognized by this year’s awards: 

·         Technology Infrastructure

·         Information Security/Privacy

·         Member Service/Convenience

·         Sales Management/Marketing Automation

·         Leadership

·         Miscellaneous

The CUNA Operations, Sales & Service Council announced, meanwhile, is also now accepting nominations for their 2016 awards. Both categories—the Excellence Awards and the Professional of the Year Award—will be presented at CUNA Operations, Sales & Service Council Conference, to be held Sept. 28 - Oct. 1, 2016 in Las Vegas.

The Excellence in Operations, Sales & Service Awards honor innovative, universally applicable solutions in these fields at credit unions in three asset groups: less than $150 million, $150 million-$500 million and greater than $500 million. The Excellence Awards will recognize four categories; sales and service management, branch design, contact center/e-support and miscellaneous. Entries for the Excellence Awards must be submitted by July 29.

The Professional of the Year Award is presented to a professional who has strengthened and created value for their credit union by offering outstanding direction to staff, quality service to members and leadership to their culture, all while serving as a strong credit union advocate. Nominations for the Professional of the Year Award must be received by June 17, and complete entry materials must be submitted by July 29.
