25 Years Later, Director’s Wedding Ring Found in Cushions

CALHOUN, Tenn. – Rummaging through chair cushions in the offices of Bowarter Employees Credit Union here, exec Ginger Carter found a wedding ring.

With a little investigation, Carter was able to finally determine it belonged to one of the credit union’s former volunteers, Bob Lee, who had lost the ring more than 25 years ago.

According to the Chattanooga Times Free Press, Carter found two sets of initials and a wedding date on the ring, information she used to track down Lee. The Free Press quoted Lee as saying he had thought the ring had been lost at a mill where he was working at the time, and that he had gotten a replacement band years earlier.
