CINCINNATI—A unique merger with a significant amount of credit union history is being completed here.
Communicating Arts Credit Union and Cincinnati Central Credit Union have completed a merger to create TruPartner Credit Union. The two CUs are led by a brother and sister who are the CEOs—Bill Herring of Cincinnati Central and Catherine Herring of Communicating Arts—and are the son and daughter of famed credit union pioneer Louise McKerren Herring, who also helped to co-found both credit unions, Cincinnati Central in 1937, Communicating Arts in 1940.
Cincinnati Central and Communicating Arts have had a long history of collaboration, including a CUSO that provides technology to both CUs.
Both Herrings have indicated they plan to retire, and were recently honored during CUNA’s GAC for the family’s contributions to credit unions.
