SUMTER, S.C.—An ATM was stolen from SAFE Federal Credit Union here.
Police said they were alerted at approximately 4 a.m. by an alarm and when arriving at the scene noticed a standalone ATM that had been located near the main branch of SFE was missing. Nearby was a forklift that police said they suspect was used to remove the machine. Investigators said they don’t have much to go on, but they are looking for a truck carrying the ATM.
