PONTIAC, Mich.–The 60-year-old Affinity Group CU no longer has an affinity for its name.
The $160-million CU has changed its name to Michigan Legacy Credit Union.
The credit union’s CEO, Carma Peters, said the new name “bridges the legacy” of what it has built with the commitment to its member/owners and their communities.
Affinity Group CU actually represented five different CUs that had merged into one. The credit union has 21,000 members.
