Alaska’s Credit Union 1 Names New President/CEO

ANCHORAGE, Alaska–Credit Union 1 here has named Mark Burgess as its new president and CEO.

Burgess had been serving as interim president and CEO after joining the $1.4-billion credit union in 2018.

“I’m incredibly excited and humbled to continue the work started by others; to continue to lead with empathy and compassion and to continue to serve Alaskans,” said Burgess in a statement. “I’m thankful to be working with such an amazing team and looking forward to serving our 95,000+ members.

Burgess succeeds James Wileman, who stepped down earlier this year as CEO. Wileman had been named CEO in 2018.
