America’s Credit Unions to Host Its First-Ever AGM; Fittingly, Back Where it All Began

BOSTON—America’s Credit Unions will host its first-ever annual general meeting July 22 in conjunction with the World Credit Union Conference in Boston.

The trade group was formed by the merger of CUNA and NAFCU on Jan. 1 of this year. The meeting is taking place, appropriately enough, not far from the offices of Ed Filene, who in the early 20th century was the driving force behind the formation of credit unions.

The inaugural AGM will take place in Room 160 of the Boston Convention Exhibition Center from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. According to America’s Credit Unions, the meeting will provide an update to member credit unions and leagues on the financial condition and activities of their association since its inception.

CUToday.info will have coverage from the World Credit Union Conference.
