NEW YORK—God now has a credit report.
In this case it’s God Gazarov, who has settled a lawsuit with a credit reporting agency Equifax after it initially refused to recognize his legal name as legitimate.
According to the New Your Post, Gazarov said he was surprised when he learned that Equifax had declined to recognize his name. A native of Russia, Gazarov now owns a jewelry store in Brooklyn and said he is named after his grandfather. “God” is a relatively common name in his native country, he said.
Perhaps not surprisingly, God Gazarov has a strong 820 credit score.
