ARLINGTON, Texas–Texas Trust Credit Union has won the Carat Award, along with a Diamond Award, for the credit union marketing campaign that achieves the greatest impact out of all the Diamond award winners. The award was presented by the CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council.

The Carat Award was in recognition of Texas Trust’s “One Million Brighter” campaign, which marked the $1 million milestone of Texas Trust's Spirit Debit Reward program. Through Texas Trust's Spirit Debit Reward card, five Texas school districts have collected $1 million in reward money since the inception of the program.

The card transaction that took the program past the $1 million milestone was scored in late November, 2015, and celebrated at a community-wide event at the University of Texas at Arlington College Park Center. It was attended by thousands of cardholders, including students, parents, and school faculty and administrators. The festivities included activities featuring students from each school that benefits from the Texas Trust Spirit Debit Reward cards.

Award winners were recognized at the council’s annual conference. Terri Albright and Shelley Carlson from Texas Trust Credit Union attended and accepted the award from CUNA.
