NILES, Mich.–And this week’s example of a car crashing into a credit union can be found in this town in southwestern Michigan.
A minivan crashed into a branch of United Federal Credit Union on Sycamore Street here at approximately 1:30 p.m. There were no injuries.
“When first responders arrived, they found a minivan that had driven through the side of the building,” WNDU reported. “The elderly woman who was driving the minivan tells police she was parked next to the building when she thought she put it in reverse but apparently put it in drive instead.”
The woman was taken to a local hospital as a precautionary measure.
