MADISON, Wis.—For one day only credit unions were urged to download a special research report that really got to the bottom of how dress codes affect sales.
On April 1, Filene announced the report, “Boxers or Briefs: A Multivariate Analysis of Undergarment Impact on Credit Union Sales Effectives.” It described the report’s “findings” this way: “For years credit union HR departments have persevered over questions of dress code—business casual, suit and tie, or something in between? In this groundbreaking study Filene Research Institute has partnered with academics from New York’s renowned Fashion Institute of Technology to literally peel back the layers of data and explore how the most personal of dress code choices impacts the effective execution of sales and service behaviors at credit unions.”
For those ready to download the report, Filene quickly stressed, “APRIL FOOLS. We were just kidding. But we do have some reports you can download for free!”
Filene was hardly alone in having fun yesterday. Honda introduced this ad for its new “selfie” vehicle: https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=82&v=VzXAZWnKitY
