Arkills To Step Down As Silver State Schools CU CEO In May 2027

LAS VEGAS— Silver State Schools Credit Union President and CEO Scott A. Arkills will retire in May 2027 after more than a decade leading the Nevada-based institution through sustained growth and expanded community outreach, KSNV reported.

Arkills, who joined the credit union in March 2016, oversaw a doubling of total assets and the net capital ratio while broadening services to families statewide and reinforcing the organization’s educational mission. The credit union said he strengthened its financial foundation and fostered a culture centered on service, trust and innovation, while expanding financial wellness programs, community partnerships and digital access for members, KSNV noted.

“Scott’s leadership has strengthened Silver State Schools Credit Union in lasting and immeasurable ways,” said Board Chairman Mitch Fox, citing Arkills’ “vision, integrity, and unwavering commitment to Prioritizing People Over Profit.”

Arkills called the role one of the most rewarding chapters of his 43-year career and said he is proud of the organization’s continued impact.

The board and executive team will work with Arkills on succession planning. The credit union has retained McDermott + Bull to lead the search for its next president and CEO.
