Atlantic Regional FCU Tweaks Its Name As It Turns 75

BRUNSWICK, Maine–The $300-million Atlantic Regional FCU has announced a tweak to its name and will now operate as Atlantic Federal Credit Union.

The change was announced during a ceremony at the credit union’s 75th annual meeting at which John Murhphy, president of the Maine CU League, was on hand to present AFCU with a plaque commemorating the milestone.

"It is amazing to think about Atlantic celebrating 75 wonderful years,” said Roger Sirois, president/CEO of AFCU, in remarks first reported by the Maine league. “We have been blessed with outstanding individuals and leaders that instilled a vision that remains today. Father Dauphin started St. John's Brunswick Federal Credit Union to help his parishioners do better. Today our staff, board of directors and supervisory committee continue to strive to help our communities and members do better."
