COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.–Aventa Credit Union has launched a First Responder Loan that offers a loan fixed-rate loan to support those who are currently employed or volunteer as a first responder.
The First Responder Loan can be used to help with the purchase of equipment and supplies such as dry suits, boots, gloves, uniform pants and shirts, patrol jackets and much more, the credit union said, adding it is the first of its kind in the market areas that Aventa serves.
“Aventa serves the City of Colorado Springs and Pueblo and we saw a unique need within these groups to offer a special loan that would help first responders with the extra expenses that they may incur because of their job,” said Karin Kovalovsky, VP-corporate communications and marketing.
The $163-million Aventa serves 22,000 members.
