DENVER—The Mountain West Credit Union Association here and the Carolinas Credit Union League have placed a wager on Super Bowl 50, where teams from their home states, the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers, will square off on Sunday.
If the Broncos win Sunday, it will be beer and BBQ for the MWCUA, courtesy of CCUL President and CEO John Radebaugh. Should the Panthers win, the MWCUA will pair beer with bison, said MWCUA President and CEO Scott Earl.
“We are confident that the Denver Broncos will bring home the Lombardi trophy,” said Earl. “And while that’s really all we need here in Colorado, I can’t resist some good BBQ, so winning will be extra sweet once that package arrives from John.”
In response, Radebaugh said, “Of course we are happy to accept the wager because we are confident that we’ll be the ones enjoying Colorado-raised bison steaks as we celebrate our victory. In the unlikely event the Broncos do win the Super Bowl, I will send our counterparts some of the Carolina’s finest BBQ.”
