CMN Hospital Presented With $331K Check From Wine Auction Proceeds

SANTA ROSA, Calif. –Two credit union CEOs presented the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital here with a check for $331,000 on behalf of the Credit Unions for Kids Wine Auction held earlier this year.

The 18th annual Wine Auction raised a record-breaking $1.7 million for the 11 California and Nevada CMN Hospitals. As CUToday.info reported earlier, more than 500 guests attended this year’s Wine Auction, including representatives from 66 credit unions, business partners, and hospitals. It’s the single largest fundraising event for Credit Unions for Kids, generating $14 million since 2006. This year’s event raised more than $1 million for the ninth consecutive year, the organization reported.

The check was presented by Redwood CU CEO Brett Martinez and Patelco CU CEO Erin Mendez.

‘Incredible Impact’

“Having seen first-hand the incredible impact UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital has on the children and families it serves, we’re honored to support them and other Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals who do life-changing and life-saving work in our communities,” said Martinez. “Supporting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals aligns naturally with the credit union philosophy of people helping people.”
