WASHINGTON—This week’s primary elections saw all credit union-supported candidates win in the respective races in Connecticut, Minnesota, Vermont, and Wisconsin, America’s Credit Unions reported.
Of note, America’s Credit Unions and Minnesota Credit Union Network-backed candidate Kelly Morrison won the Democratic primary for the open seat in Minnesota’s 3rd congressional district. Morrison next faces Republican Tad Jude in November for the seat left open by the retirement of Rep. Dean Phillips (D).
More primaries are ahead – with Alaska, Florida, and Wyoming holding primary elections on August 20.
Credit union-supported candidates are winning at a 98% rate so far in the 2024 election cycle, ACU noted.
