MADISON COUNTY, Ala.–An employee of Redstone Federal Credit Union has been arrested on theft charges after the credit union alerted local authorities that a corporate credit card had been misused.
WHNT reported that RFCU officials said a routine audit led to the discovery of the alleged misuse of the card by Dawn Speegle, an event coordinator for the credit union.
Neither the credit union nor local police provided specific information on how much money was allegedly misspent, with WHNT quoting one source as saying it was “several thousand dollars.”
No member funds or accounts were involved.
