ASHEVILLE, N.C.—A robbery at a branch of State Employees Credit Union here resulted in local schools being locked down.
The robber, described as a white male, entered at mid-day and passed a note demanding money. He left with an undisclosed amount and ran into a wooded area. When police were called the five schools, including one high school, were put on lockdown. No arrests have been made.
