FAIRBORN, Ohio—Following a bomb threat at a Wright-Patt CU office Friday that turned out to be a hoax, the CU temporarily closed two more branches this morning.
According to the Dayton Daily News, Wright-Patt offices on Executive Park Boulevard and Dayton Yellow Springs Road were evacuated Monday morning in what the newspaper said appeared to be another “threat” to the credit union.
Fairborn police responded Monday around 9:40 a.m. to the $3.6-billion CU’s office at 2465 Executive Park Blvd. The building was evacuated and officers were blocking the exit and entrance to the location, apparently because of a threat, the newspaper reported.
In addition, the Wright-Patt Credit Union location at 130 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Road was also evacuated. Both offices are reported to be back open. Police were not immediately available to comment, the newspaper said.
A bomb threat that turned out to be a hoax closed Wright-Patt’s Beavercreek location on Friday. At about 10:50 a.m. Friday, an anonymous caller phoned a business near the Wright-Patt CU branch saying there was a bomb at the credit union.
CUToday.info contacted a Wright-Patt CU executive late Friday who reported that a bomb was not found and that the situation was under control.
