LOS ANGELES–CU Wallet reported it has entered into a strategic partnership agreement with Mogl, a provider of a U.S. merchant rewards program that offers instant cash back for consumers.
CU Wallet said the partnership will drive the adoption of white label mobile wallets and payment solutions for community financial institutions by seamlessly offering up to 30% cash back on purchases at thousands of merchants across the Mogl network.
“The CU Wallet platform will integrate Mogl offers into its application’s central directory that currently supports thousands of customer-specific discounts and loyalty incentives in a single, secure location,” CU Wallet said in a statement. “Members simply link their VISA/MC/AMEX cards to the Mogl network and use them wherever they shop – in-store, in-app and online – at participating venues to instantly earn and be notified of rewards.”
CU Wallet said its 120 member-credit unions, which represent more than 10 million members, will now be able to make available the Mogl’s card-linked offers to their own members, in their own credit union-branded mobile application.
The company said that San Diego County CU has become among the first to offer the solution to its membership. It has integrated debit and credit card enrollments directly to Mogl's network from within its online banking platform, according to SDCCU CEO Teresa Halleck,
“The Mogl network will provide our member financial institutions with increased transactions supported by a secure, compelling and convenient digital shopping experience,” said Paul Fiore, CU Wallet’s CEO and founder, in a statement.
