WICHITA, Kan.—Credit Union America is co-sponsoring a self-defense course for female Realtors following a murder in Arkansas of a Realtor.
Credit Union America is partnering with Performance Gym on the safety and self-defense program on Thursday, Oct. 9, at Performance Gym. The Wichita Business Journal reported that Credit Union America indicated it may hold the event, designed to teach Realtors how to fend off an attacker, again in the spring. Interest has been high in such a program following the murder of Beverly Carter, who went missing after showing a home in late September. Her body was found five days later. The Business Journal reported that approximately 30 Realtors have expressed interest.
