CUNA Adds New Associate Director of Advocacy

WASHINGTON – CUNA has named Robert Henson as its new associate director of advocacy.

Henson previously worked in the office of Sen. Mark Begich (D-AK) where he served as legislative assistant on tax policy and financial services issues, and prior to that was a Presidential Management Fellow at the Federal Housing Administration, part of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. 

In his role at CUNA, Henson will be responsible for managing CUNA’s relationships with Democrats in the United States Senate on a variety of key issues including data and cyber security, regulatory relief, tax and consumer matters.

Henson has a law degree from Indiana University’s Mauer School of Law and a bachelor’s degree from Tulane University.
