WASHINGTON–CUNA ran a full-page ad in the Washington publication Politico yesterday to thank the more than 300 members of Congress who have signed a letter calling on the CFPB to exempt credit unions from its rulemaking.
“On Behalf of America’s Credit Unions and Our 105 Million Members,” the headline reads. Text then states, “Thank you to the 329 members of the House who have come together in bipartisan fashion to urge the CFPB to make sure its rules don’t prevent credit unions from providing safe and affordable financial products to our members.”
The names of the 329 members who signed the letter appear in the ad, which appeared on the same day CFPB Director Richard Cordray was testifying before the House.
