COLUMBUS, Ind.—Centra Credit Union President and CEO Rick Silvers will retire on Jan. 9 after nearly a decade leading the Indiana-based credit union through a period of significant growth and expansion.
The $2.3-buillion CU has selected Brad Davis, the credit union’s chief growth officer, as his successor following a nationwide search.
Silvers, who joined Centra in 2016, oversaw nearly $1 billion in asset growth, a doubling of loan balances, and a 70% increase in deposits. During his tenure, Centra relocated or built multiple branches, completed a new headquarters, and expanded into Lebanon and Zionsville through its 2024 merger with NorthPark Community Credit Union. He also helped broaden Centra’s community impact, with the Centra Foundation contributing more than $1 million to local causes and thousands of volunteer hours from team members, the CU stated.
Under Silvers’ leadership, Centra launched its Member Loyalty Rewards program in 2021, awarding $4.7 million in special dividends to members. His contributions to the credit union movement were recently recognized with the Indiana Credit Union League’s Professional Achievement Award.
Davis, who joined Centra in 2011, brings more than 30 years of financial-services experience in Indiana and has led Centra’s member-facing operations and strategic growth initiatives.
