MARSHFIELD, Wis.–Central City Credit Union is changing its name: effective June 1, it will become Simplicity Credit Union. The name change follows an “updated approach” toward what members want in a financial partner, according to CEO Pat Wesenberg.
"We are really excited about it. This name is a re-commitment to our membership and way to demonstrate how we can best serve them," Wesenberg said in a statement. "The name holds us accountable to simplifying our members' lives. We will continue to be a credit union our members trust, but just focusing on a simplified approach."
The new name will be introduced over the next couple of months along with branch renovations and an updated website.
The $225-million credit union was founded in 1949 as St. John's Catholic Credit Union.
