Cessna Employees CU Looks Upward For New Name

WICHITA, Kan.—Cessna Employees Credit Union is changing its name Skyward Credit Union.

In a released statement, the $245-million CU said it is making the change following the 2014 acquisition of airplane manufacturer Beechcraft by Textron.

“Under the expanded sponsorship of Textron Aviation, CECU has been able to serve the broader population of these two general aviation leaders and the brands of Cessna and Beechcraft,” said the CU’s statement.

Skyward operates three branches in Wichita and one in Independence, Kan. It has 15,000 members. With the new name comes new branding and a new website at www.skywardcu.com
