CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa–Collins Community Credit Union has named a new CEO effective April 1.
Stefanie Rupert, who is currently the credit union’s chief operating officer, has been named president and chief executive officer to succeed current president and CEO Richard Benhart, who will retire on April 1 after 30 years of service. Benhart joined CCCU as a senior vice president in 1986. He was appointed president and CEO in October 2000.
During his career Benhard oversaw growth from $84 million in assets to $925 million.
“I am proud to be part of an organization that has such deep roots in the community and I know Stefanie will successfully continue the legacy that Collins Community Credit Union represents,” Benhart said in released statement.
“We look forward to having Stefanie Rupert lead our credit union into the future, with great visions of growth and commitment to both our organization and community,” said board Chairwoman Marsha Schulte in a statement.
Collins Community CU has an FOM open to residents of 38 counties.
