ADA, Okla.–Communication FCU said it has entered into a deal to become the official title sponsor of East Central University Athletics. The agreement marks the first time ECU’s athletic department has had a title sponsor.
Terms of the deal were not released.
The ECU Tigers are a Division II program.
According to the organizations, the “significant collaboration” will provide CFCU with extensive exposure and engagement opportunities across ECU Athletics’ digital platforms, social media channels, livestream broadcasts, and radio networks for all sports teams, starting with the upcoming 2024-25 season.
“Communication Federal maintains a strong commitment to ECU,” CFCU CEO and ECU alumnus Larry Shropshire said in a statement. “We established our Ada branch location to serve the ECU community.

“The credit union is committed to helping improve the financial outlook for all students, faculty and staff at ECU and residents in the Ada area,” the statement continued. “Our partnership as the sole Title Sponsor of ECU Athletics will positively impact the lives of the many student-athletes at East Central University.”
The $2.1-billion CFCU has approximately 125,000 members.
