FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich.—Community Choice CU said it is paying $1,811,283—more than 40% of its 2015 net earnings—back to members as part of its 2015 GetBigReward$ program.
Now in its third year, the rewards program provides monthly credits and loan interest rebates to members who make the most of their memberships by using multiple products and services. The credit union said more than $4,219,823 has been awarded to members since the program’s inception in 2013.
“The Get Big Rewards program is our way of showing members that they aren’t just customers here—they are owners and benefit from our shared success,” said Alan Bergstrom, senior vice president and chief marketing officer of Community Choice Credit Union, in a statement.
Members who are highly active in various Community Choice products and services can reach the top Emerald and Gold levels of membership. These members make Community Choice their primary financial institution and as such, they are rewarded. Each month Emerald and Gold level members receive credits to their GetBigReward$ account.
Throughout the year the credits are used to offset or eliminate overdraft and other fees. At the conclusion of the year, any credits not utilized are deposited into member share accounts. Additionally, Emerald level members receive a loan interest rebate as high as 10% of the total interest paid on loans.
