Credit Union Leaders Hit The Ground Running At Annual SACTOWN Run April 6

SACRAMENTO, Calif.—Thousands of credit union leaders and other supporters will converge in front of the California State Capitol on Sunday, April 6, for the annual Credit Union SACTOWN Run, the California CU League reported.

The annual event unites runners, walkers, and supporters from more than 60 California and Nevada credit unions to support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN). This year’s fundraising goal is $200,000.

Hosted by the Sacramento Running Association (SRA), and having raised $3 million for local CMN Hospitals over the past several years, the Credit Union SACTOWN Run is championed by the California Credit Union League, Nevada’s Credit Unions, and credit union professionals and volunteers who embody the industry’s “people helping people” philosophy, the California League noted.

This year’s event features the 10-mile race, a 5K run/walk, and the Miracle Mile.

The annual run also serves as the USA Track and Field’s Pacific Association 10-Mile Championship, drawing competitive athletes while maintaining its welcoming atmosphere for participants of all abilities.
