Crooks Use Stolen Pickup To Rip Loose ATM

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind.—Another ATM has been ripped from its base and stolen, this time at an office of Purdue Federal Credit Union.

Late last week police responded to an alarm at the credit union branch located at 1551 Win Hentschel Boulevard that was set off at 3:00 a.m. The ATM had been ripped from its base and the cash drawers removed, WLFI.com reported.

The CUs surveillance cameras recorded the suspects, who were seen using a pickup truck and a chain to rip loose the cash machine. Police say at least three suspects are involved. No arrests have been made, WLFI.com said

The truck involved in the theft was located by the Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Department and was stolen from a nearby apartment complex, WLFI.com added.
