PINEVILLE, N.C.—A robber wearing a Darth Vader costume and wielding rifle, not a light saber, held up a branch of Pineville State Employees Credit Union here.
The robber barged into the CU, pointed the rifle at a teller and demanded cash. Reports indicate that the crook got away with “thousands of dollars.” He fled in a gray four-door Chevrolet Suburban, according to a police report.
No one inside the credit union was injured. Authorities are still searching for the thief.
