NEW CASTLE, Del.–Delaware Alliance FCU has changed its field of membership and its name.
The credit union has changed its name to AllyFed in conjunction with NCUA approval of an FOM expansion from the more than 80 SEGs it serves in Delaware to an underserved area that includes New Castle, Wilmington, Newark, Christiana, Newport, Stanton, and Elsmere.
“We hope the name AllyFed will reflect our alliance with our current members but also speak to the broader Northern Delaware community, since we’ll now serve a larger part of that community,” the credit union said in an announcement to members on its website. “We’re opening our doors to new members from New Castle County. More members will enable us to introduce new services and improve existing ones. It’s getting a new look, but that’s only the beginning. We’re making it easier to use and adding integrated loan applications and electronic disclosures for more convenient and ‘greener’ processes.”
Dawn Sutcliffe is president and CEO of the $20.9-million CU, which has 4,189 members.
