ANCHORAGE, Alaska–Denali FCU here has begun to work through the process of sorting through all that it will receive after being selected as the winner of a $250,000 package of services from apogee IQ.
A CUSO, apogee iQ staged a Credit Union Makeover Giveaway and from the entrants Denali FCU was selected to receive an apogee iQ software platform and ERM, VM, IT, and BCP consulting services for one year.
Collaborating in the unique effort are Upstreme, Inc., Rochdale Paragon Group, LLC, and Horsetail Technologies, which joined together to form apogee IQ and create a comprehensive software platform integrated with expert services.
CUToday.info will be documenting the process of implementation of the products and services that are part of the Makeover.
Representatives of apogee IQ and the other companies are now planning to visit with the credit union at its offices in Alaska sometime in May or June.
According to apogee IQ, of all of the applicants that were reviewed, several factors stood out in Denali FCU’s application. The first, was the completeness of their application. “They clearly took a tremendous amount of time to think through and create their answers. This showed us a credit union that was committed and would be committed to this process,” Apogee said in response to questions from CUToday.info. “The process of reviewing and updating the risk strategies of a credit union is a great undertaking that takes buy-in from the credit union. This application showed us that Denali had that buy-in.”
Secondly, said apogee IQ, it simply felt that Denali FCU was the “right fit,” with the ability to manage all of these products and services that are part of the Makeover giveaway.
“Apogee iQ did not set out to just build a new company and software platform – we set out to position the new standard of governance, risk and compliance management in the credit union community,” said Christopher Sachse, apogee iQ’s CEO. “We believe that our new standard and methodology will be adopted industrywide. Our collaborative design process has and will continue to incorporate the voice of credit unions, subject matter experts and industry leaders. Teaching this new standard will happen through our software, services and CUNA schools. It is with great excitement that we have taken the opportunity to showcase our offering in partnership with Denali credit union. We hope CUToday.info readers will read along and watch our vision come to life.”
