WASHINGTON—The National CU Foundation’s Development Education program is calling for nominations for its awards programs in three different areas.
The awards honor those individuals who exemplify what DE stands for through their individual or cooperative efforts to make a difference in their credit union, community or on a national/international basis, according to the Foundation.
The three award categories are:
- Individual Achievement: Honors a single individual for accomplishments that have made a significant impact on the national or international basis. Nomination should cite a specific achievement.
- Cooperative Spirit Award: Honors a group of individuals for a project that has made a significant difference to a community, school, a credit union or the greater credit union movement.
- Lifetime Achievement: Honors an individual who has made a significant and lasting contribution to the credit union movement and the DE program over several years of service.
Nominees for any of the awards must have completed the U.S. DE program. The awards will be presented during the annual DE Workshop in Denver in July. Deadline is May 15.

Info about nominee:
- Name
- E-mail or phone
Which Award Category the person is nominating an individual for:
- Individual Achievement
- Cooperative Spirit
- Lifetime Achievement
In one sheet of paper or less:
- The specific activity/program/accomplishment for which the DE is being nominated. Please include information on when the project was developed, how it was funded and what future results are expected
- The Impact of his or her actions
- List additional reasons (if any) the DE should be considered for the award
