SHELTON, Wash.—After leading $670-million Our Community Credit Union for one year, Ryan Drake is out as president/CEO, and Bert Fisher, who preceded Drake, is back at the helm on an interim basis, the organization stated on its website.
“After a year of dedicated service as president and CEO, the OURCU board of directors has made the thoughtful and difficult decision to part ways with Ryan Drake. This decision reflects a shift in strategic goals and is not a result of any wrongdoing,” the CU stated.
“We are blessed with a dedicated staff who are truly the heartbeat of OURCU. Paired with our supportive membership and community, this ensures a smooth transition for the credit union,” said Interim CEO Fisher.
Fisher led the organization for 13 year before retiring in December of 2023.
The credit union said a search for a new CEO has begun, with the board aiming to “define a hiring timeline” by the end of January.
