DUBUQUE, Iowa–Dupaco Credit Union said it has partnered with Fannie Mae on a new program called HomeReady Loan Down Payment Assistance.
The Home Ready Down Payment Assistance program provides $2,500 to eligible homebuyers, regardless of their location, who are beginning their homeownership journey.
The program assistance is a credit to be used towards a down payment and closing costs of a home, according to Dupaco.
"At Dupaco, we work one-on-one with our members, uncovering opportunities to find the best solution to save them money,” Krystal Frederick, AVP-mortgage lending, said in a statement. “Fannie Mae’s HomeReady Down Payment Assistance helps members with a credit towards their down payment paving the way for potentially lower monthly payments throughout the loan's lifespan. This program is another way we are showing our commitment to supporting our members' financial well-being."
