During Live TV Broadcast About Earlier Robbery, Another Robbery Takes Place

ROCHESTER, Minn.—During a live TV news broadcast about an earlier robbery at a bank, the bank was robbed again, with police saying they believe the suspect is the same in both robberies.

Reporter Adam Sallet of KIMT-TV was broadcasting live from outside Sterling State Bank here when in the background a bank employee could be seen running out of the bank and pointing at the robbery suspect. The employee announced live that the bank had just been robbed and pointed off-screen at the escaping suspect. Sallet then announced he had to go in order to dial 911.

Police have since arrested a 36-year-old man who was not identified after his vehicle was spotted.
