KINGSPORT, Tenn.—Eastman Credit Union has issued an apology following the circulation of a viral TikTok video showing two people engaged in intimate behavior at one of its Johnson City branches, NDTV reported.
In a statement posted on social media late Friday, the $9.4-billion credit union confirmed it had taken immediate action in response to the incident. The video, which has garnered millions of views since surfacing on TikTok last week, shows the couple through a frosted glass window. While the view was partially obscured, the explicit nature of the scene was still visible to individuals inside the branch, NDTV said.
"Earlier this week, we learned of a video taken of inappropriate behavior in a Johnson City, Tennessee, branch. We took immediate action as we have zero tolerance for this kind of misconduct. We apologize that this disturbing incident happened at our facility, as it does not represent who we are as an organization. We are committed to providing a safe and respectful environment for our staff and members," Eastman Credit Union said in its statement.
The credit union did not clarify whether the individuals involved were customers or employees, nor did it specify which of its three Johnson City locations was involved.
