INDIANAPOLIS—Effective Jan. 6, 2015, Eli Lilly FCU, which is better known as Elfcu, said it will change its name to Elements Financial.
Founded to serve employees of the company of the same name, Eli Lilly FCU said it now has 57,000 members in all 50 states, and also has expanded to serve more than 60 companies since its founding in 1930. The brand name change was first announced in September, with CEO Lisa A. Schlehuber saying it has been “well-received so far.”
“I’m grateful to our Board, employees, and especially our members for supporting and celebrating this progression with us,” said Schlehuber. The $1-billion credit union said the name change is designed to reflect the “moments when we discover elements within ourselves that change the course of our lives,” and well as being a tribute to its original sponsor.
