ONTARIO, Canada—Windsor Family Credit Union is donating $10,000 to the local community this week, and the money is being handed out one employee at a time.
The CU gave $50 to each of its 200 employees to donate on behalf of the CU. Called 200 Ways of Giving, the program distributes the funds in one week.
Staff are choosing their own good deeds—some donating individually and others joining together to donate to local charities. A group from the main office donated $300 worth of unwrapped toys and clothing for young children to Street Help Wednesday.
IT staff are expected to donate to the Coats for Kids campaign and the HR department plans to give unwrapped gifts for teenagers to the Unemployed Help Centre.
