COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Ent Credit Union said it has entered into a new partnership with four high schools along the Front Range to introduce branded debit cards for students.
Ent said the initiative allows cardholders to show their school pride and raise money for their chosen school and aligns with its commitment to promoting financial education and literacy among young adults.
“We are excited to partner with these high schools to provide students with a practical tool for learning financial responsibility,” Annie Snead, director of community advocacy said in a statement. “This initiative is more than just a debit card; it’s a step toward empowering the next generation with the knowledge and skills they need to manage their finances effectively. It’s also a way to support our local schools with much needed funds.”
How Program Works
Through the program Ent Credit Union will donate five cents for every debit charge made with the cards. Each high school can designate a program that will benefit from the donations, such as arts, athletics, technology or other vital programs. The branded debit cards will include school logos and be available to students, parents, teachers and any community member wishing to support one of the four schools, Ent said.
The debit cards require an Ent checking account.
