First Female F-14 Tomcat Pilot To Address NAFCU

NASHVILLE, Tenn.– Carey Lohrenz, the first female F-14 Tomcat pilot in the U.S. Navy, will show what it takes to be a catalyst for change when she delivers a keynote message at NAFCU’s 49th Annual Conference and Solutions Expo June 14-17 in Downtown Nashville.

“Lohrenz’s story is an inspiring one, and we are honored to have her speak during this year’s conference,” said NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger. “Her tenacity and drive will help encourage and embolden credit union professionals to forge new paths for success.”

Lohrenz was deployed to the USS Abraham Lincoln 22 years ago. At the time, there were fewer than five female aviators on a ship with 5,000 men. By staying true to herself and not taking no for an answer, Lohrenz was able succeed when facing barriers that would have prompted her to fail. Lohrenz has flown combat missions worldwide, making her a pioneer in military aviation. Her dedication to her country and her road to success was detailed in her book, “Fearless Leadership: High-Performance Lessons from the Flight Deck,” which was on The Wall Street Journal best-seller list.

The early-bird deadline to save on registration is April 15.

Along with Lohrenz, this year’s conference includes a keynote presentation from business strategist and best-selling author Dan Horsager, NCUA Vice Chairman Rick Metsger and, many others.
