WASHINGTON–For the first time in two months, mortgage rates ticked up slightly.
According to Freddie Mac, the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage (FRM) averaged 3.64% with an average 0.5 point in its survey last week, up from last week when it averaged 3.6%. One year ago the 30-year FRM averaged 3.75%.
The 15-year FRM last week averaged 2.94% with an average 0.5 point, up from the prior week when it averaged 2.93%. One year ago the 15-year FRM averaged 3.03%.
The five-year Treasury-indexed hybrid adjustable-rate mortgage (ARM) averaged 2.84% this week with an average 0.5 point, up from last week when it averaged 2.79%. A year ago, the 5-year ARM averaged 2.96%.
