WILKES-BARRE, Penn.–Amanda Magda, 30, the former assistant manager of Wilkes-Barre City Employees FCU who earlier this year pleaded guilty to loan fraud, will not have to serve any time.
U.S. District Judge A. Richard Caputo sentenced Magda to time served and two years supervised release. Caputo chose not to levy a fine, saying it does appear Magda could pay it.
Magda pleaded guilty in July to bank fraud as the result of witnessing a loan document she knew contained a forged signature of former Wilkes-Barre city police officer Tino Ninotti, who obtained a loan using documents containing the signature of his brother, Dino. Dino Ninotti was in Afghanistan at the time of the application.
The funds were for a new Dodge Ram pickup truck. Several others have also been indicted in the scheme.
