ERIE, Penn.—Lisa Hauptmann, former CEO of Oil Country FCU, is expected to enter a guilty plea on Monday in an embezzlement case, according to the attorney prosecuting the case for the government.
Hauptman is accused of stealing $47,000 from the $19-million CU between November 2011 and May 2015. She faces one count of embezzling CU funds.
As CUToday.info previously reported, Hauptmann originally plead not guilty in U.S. District Court, in Erie. Now, she is scheduled for a change of plea hearing on Feb. 8, according to court documents. When asked about the purpose of the hearing, assistant U.S. attorney Christian A. Trabold, who is prosecuting the case, said Hauptmann “will be changing her plea from not guilty to guilty,” The Titusville Herald reported. Ex-CU Exec Pleads Not Guilty To Embezzlement Charge
