ERIE, Penn.–The former CEO of Oil Country FCU here has pleaded guilty to embezzlement.
Lisa Hauptman had initially entered a plea of not guilty to one count of embezzlement, but changed her plea during an appearance in court here this week.
Hauptman had been indicted for stealing $47,000 from the Oil Country FCU between November 2011 and May of 2015. She had been CEO for approximately one year before the indictment was handed down after having previously served as assistant manager. Hauptmann has been permitted to return home and will be sentenced sometime in the next one to three months.
